Turkey Taco Recipe
I’ve been on my own since the ripe age of 17. I was pretty much surviving off of fast food and junk food. One day I decided, enough is enough— I need to learn how to cook!! So, I began my cooking journey making, drumroll please, TACOS!!! I mean who doesn’t love a good taco!? They are simple, quick, and easy to make. With some trial and error, this recipe was created. I hope you enjoy!!

Turkey Tacos

ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground turkey
- 3 tablespoons of taco seasoning
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 bell pepper chopped (green or red)
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon tajin
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 cup salsa
- Flour tortilla shells
- Olive oil
Toppings
- Shredded lettuce
- Chopped Tomatoes
- Sour cream
- Cilantro
- Shredded Cheese
instructions:
How to cook Turkey Tacos
- Add a tablespoon of olive oil, the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to a skillet and cook for a 3 minutes.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Break it up and brown it.
- When the meat is almost done browning, add the taco seasoning, cumin, and a little water. Mix.
- Add the tajin and salsa. Cook 3-5 minutes.
- In a separate skillet, add a teaspoon of olive oil and brown your tortilla shells.
- Now it's time to build and plate your tacos!
NOTES:
I usually start building my taco by adding sour cream on the bottom of the shell, adding some turkey next, then adding my favorite toppings!
